Detox Recipes for Cleansing your Body
There are various commercial cleansing diets that celebrities endorse and follow, but the risk of side effects is undeniable. Now I am not saying that commercial diets are fake or they won’t work on someone; the point I am trying to make is that when you can make safe, homemade detox drinks, why would someone want to spend hundreds of dollars on a commercial diet. Am I right? So without further ado, let’s look at some drinks for cleansing.
Tangy Ginger Tea

  • 1-2 ginger tea bags
  • 1 tablespoon maple syrup
  • 1 orange, juice
  • 1 teaspoon turmeric powder

To make the tea, follow the instructions given on the tea bags. Let the tea steep properly and cool down just a bit so you can drink it. Mix the rest of the ingredients as per your taste choice properly. Strain the tea and drink.

Healthy Veggie Juice

  • 3 carrots
  • 3 kale leaves
  • 2 celery
  • 2 beetroots
  • 1 turnip
  • ½ onion, chopped
  • ½ cabbage
  • ½ spinach, whole bunch
  • ¼ parsley, whole bunch

For our next recipe for cleansing, we need to boil all these vegetables. Boil carrots, beetroots, turnip, onion, and celery together and the other vegetables separately. Once everything is boiled and ready, blend together, strain the juice, and enjoy.

Minty Pineapple Juice

  • Small piece of ginger
  • ½ pineapple, chopped
  • Mint leaves

In a juicer, place all 3 ingredients and extract their juice. Strain the juice properly and do a taste test. If the juice needs to be a bit sweet, then instead of adding sugar, mix in teaspoon or so of honey. Mix thoroughly and enjoy the juice.

Mixed Fruit Juice

  • 1 apple
  • 1 orange
  • 1 grapefruit
  • 1 cup grapes
  • Honey, for taste

In a blender, mix all the fruits together till there are no lumps left. Don’t strain the juice but pour into a glass. Do a taste test to see if the juice requires any added sweetness. If yes, then add honey as per your liking.

Lemon Cayenne Pepper Detox Juice

  • 5 oz. water
  • 2 tablespoons maple syrup, organic
  • 2 tablespoons lemon juice
  • 1/8 teaspoon cayenne pepper

This is a very popular cleansing diet drink but it has been given a homemade touch. Take a pitcher to mix all the ingredients together. Either store in the refrigerator for now and have it cold or drink it at room temperature, this detox recipe is absolutely awesome.

Apart from these recipes given in the article, you can even try mixing fresh lemon juice in a glass of water. Drinking this at least 3 to 4 times a day does wonders for you. Now not many people know this, but just drinking eight ounces or 8 to 10 glasses of water per day also makes a wonderful detox drink.
